Certain products and services may be governed by additional terms, policies, booking conditions, package descriptions or agreements. These supplementary terms must be read together with this document. Where a specific provision expressly applies to a particular product or service and differs from a general provision in these Terms and Conditions, the specific provision shall prevail for that product or service, subject to applicable law.
You must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when registering, placing an order, submitting a booking request or engaging with our services.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activities carried out through your account, subject to applicable law. You must promptly notify us if you become aware of unauthorised access to your account.

BFC Publications offers a range of publishing, book-related, podcast, studio, digital and promotional services. The scope, pricing, deliverables, timelines and other conditions of each service may vary.
The details displayed on our platforms, in quotations, package descriptions, order confirmations or separate agreements shall govern the particular product or service purchased or booked by you.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the purchase of one service does not automatically include any additional service, deliverable, promotional activity or benefit that is not specified in the applicable package or agreement.
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue or introduce products, services, features and packages from time to time, subject to existing contractual commitments and applicable law.
Placing an order, submitting an enquiry or completing a booking form does not necessarily constitute confirmation of a service or reservation.
Where a service requires confirmation by our team, the booking or order shall be considered confirmed only when the applicable confirmation has been communicated by BFC Publications in accordance with the relevant service conditions.
You are responsible for reviewing the details of your order or booking, including the selected package, deliverables, pricing, applicable taxes, dates and other relevant information.
Any request to modify a confirmed order or booking shall be subject to the applicable service terms and BFC Publications’ approval.
Prices for products and services shall be as displayed on the relevant platform, quotation, package description or order confirmation at the time of purchase or booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Applicable taxes, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), shall be charged as required by law and as specified in the relevant quotation, invoice or order details.
You agree to make payments in accordance with the payment schedule communicated for the relevant product or service.
Where an advance payment is required, work, production, recording, dispatch or other service-related activity may be withheld until the applicable payment conditions have been met.
For services involving staged payments, the balance must be paid within the specified timeframe. For example, where the applicable terms require the full balance before a podcast recording, recording will not commence until the payment has been completed.
Payments must be made through the payment methods authorised by BFC Publications. You are responsible for ensuring that the payment information provided is accurate and that the payment is successfully completed.
Any additional charges for services outside the agreed scope, including customised promotional campaigns, additional editing, extra deliverables, special production requirements or outstation arrangements, shall be communicated separately where applicable.
Authors engaging BFC Publications for publishing or related services are responsible for providing the manuscript, author information, images, permissions, approvals and other materials required for their selected package.
Authors must ensure that:
BFC Publications may request revisions, clarification, documentation or changes to material that is incomplete, technically unsuitable, potentially infringing or otherwise inconsistent with our publishing requirements.
Publishing timelines depend on factors such as manuscript readiness, author approvals, revisions, production requirements, printing, distribution and third-party platform processes. Any timeline communicated is subject to these dependencies unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
Authors acknowledge that publication, printing, listing or distribution does not guarantee that a book will achieve a particular level of sales, readership, reviews, rankings, visibility or commercial success.
The specific scope of services, deliverables, revision limits, timelines and other conditions shall be governed by the publishing package or separate agreement selected by the Author.
Unless otherwise stated in a written agreement, BFC Publications and/or its licensors retain the intellectual property rights in the original content and materials created or owned by BFC Publications, including website content, branding, logos, graphics, designs, software, layouts, promotional materials and other proprietary material.
You may use such materials only as permitted by law and these Terms and Conditions. You must not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, modify or commercially exploit them without prior written permission, except where such use is expressly authorised.
Authors retain ownership of their manuscripts and other intellectual property to the extent that they own those rights, subject to the terms of any separate publishing, licensing or service agreement.
By submitting content to BFC Publications, you grant us the limited rights necessary to receive, store, process, edit, format, reproduce, publish, distribute or otherwise use that content for the purpose of providing the services you have requested and as authorised under the applicable agreement.
Any broader licence, transfer of rights, exclusivity arrangement or commercial use must be governed by the relevant written agreement or applicable service terms.
You must not use BFC Publications’ name, logo, branding or other intellectual property in a manner that suggests an endorsement, affiliation or authorisation that has not been granted.
Where royalty-bearing publishing or distribution services are offered, royalty rates, calculation methods, payment schedules, deductions, reporting periods and other applicable conditions shall be governed by the relevant publishing agreement, package terms or royalty policy.
A royalty calculator, author dashboard or other digital tool made available by BFC Publications is intended to provide information or estimates based on the data and assumptions used by that tool. Unless expressly stated otherwise, such estimates are not a guarantee of actual earnings or payments.
Sales figures and royalty information may be subject to reporting schedules, reconciliations, returns, cancellations, deductions, marketplace adjustments and information received from third-party platforms.
Book availability, listing, pricing, sales reporting and distribution may depend on external retailers, marketplaces, distributors and other service providers. BFC Publications does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular listing position, a specific number of sales or any minimum level of revenue.
Any royalty commitment, including a stated royalty percentage, shall be interpreted in accordance with the applicable publishing agreement and the terms expressly communicated for the relevant service.
The BFC Publications Podcast and related studio or production services are subject to the applicable booking conditions, package details and any separate terms communicated at the time of booking.
Booking and confirmation: A booking request or enquiry does not automatically confirm a recording slot. Where applicable, our team will contact you to discuss the requirements and confirm the booking, subject to availability.
Payment: Where the applicable booking terms require a 50% advance payment and the remaining 50% before recording, the advance must be paid to proceed with the booking and the balance must be cleared before recording begins.
Cancellation and postponement: Cancellation, refund and rescheduling requests are governed by the specific terms communicated for the relevant podcast booking. Confirmed bookings may be non-cancellable, and any permitted postponement may be limited to one rescheduling, subject to availability. The exact conditions applicable to your booking shall be communicated before confirmation.
Recording and production: Recording duration, equipment, personnel, editing, final deliverables and included promotional activities shall be limited to those specified in the selected package. Additional editing, reels, customised production, promotional campaigns or other services may incur additional charges.
Content and editing: BFC Publications may edit recorded material for production quality, duration, clarity, format and suitability for publication. Publication schedules and the selection of clips or promotional excerpts shall be determined by BFC Publications, subject to any separate written agreement.
Promotion: Standard promotional activities, where included, may involve publishing the episode or selected clips on BFC Publications’ platforms. Additional promotional services may be chargeable. We do not guarantee a particular number of views, impressions, followers, leads, engagement or other audience outcomes.
Client responsibilities: Clients and guests must arrive on time and comply with studio instructions. Delays may affect the available recording time. Clients must ensure that any content, images, music or other materials they request to be included may lawfully be used.
Participation in a recording does not automatically entitle a Client to raw footage, unedited recordings, additional edits or deliverables beyond those included in the applicable package.
Orders placed through BFC Book Store or other BFC Publications-operated sales channels are subject to the product details, price, availability, shipping conditions and order-specific terms displayed at the time of purchase.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information and delivery addresses. BFC Publications shall not be responsible for delivery issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer, subject to applicable law.
Delivery estimates are indicative unless a delivery date is expressly guaranteed. Delays may occur due to courier operations, logistics, weather, public restrictions or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Customers should report damaged, defective, incorrect or missing items within the timeframe and through the process communicated in the applicable order or return policy. Any replacement, return or refund shall be subject to that policy and applicable consumer protection law.
For digital books or other digital products, access, delivery, compatibility and any applicable cancellation or refund restrictions shall be governed by the product description and relevant digital-product terms, subject to applicable law.
Cancellation, refund, return, replacement and rescheduling conditions vary according to the nature of the product or service.
The applicable publishing agreement, booking terms, package conditions, order-specific return policy or other service-specific policy shall govern such requests.
For podcast bookings, the specific cancellation and postponement conditions communicated at the time of booking shall apply. For physical and digital book purchases, the applicable return, replacement and refund policy shall apply. For publishing and other professional services, the applicable agreement and the stage of work completed shall be taken into account, subject to applicable law.
Where a refund is approved, it shall be processed through the original payment method wherever practicable, or through another lawful method agreed with the customer, within 5–7 working days.
Nothing in this section excludes or restricts any refund, replacement, cancellation or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
Certain BFC Publications platforms or services may allow users to submit comments, reviews, feedback, photographs, recordings or other content.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit and must ensure that you have the necessary rights and permissions to share it.

Unless otherwise required by law, user comments and reviews represent the views of their respective authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of BFC Publications.
We may review, moderate, restrict or remove submitted content that violates these Terms and Conditions, infringes third-party rights or creates legal, security or operational concerns.
Where you submit content for publication or promotional use, you grant BFC Publications a non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, display, publish and format that content to the extent reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was submitted and as otherwise authorised by the applicable agreement. This does not transfer ownership of your intellectual property.
We endeavour to ensure that the information provided through our platforms is accurate and up to date. However, descriptions, prices, availability, estimated timelines, technical specifications and other information may occasionally contain errors or require updates.
We reserve the right to correct errors, update information and modify platform content, subject to applicable law and existing contractual commitments.
We do not guarantee that our platforms will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure or compatible with every device or software environment. We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, updates, security measures or operational reasons.
BFC Publications may provide links to or integrate with third-party websites, marketplaces, payment gateways, publishing platforms, distribution channels and other services.
Such third-party services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies and operating conditions. BFC Publications does not control those services and is not responsible for their independent content, policies, availability, actions or omissions, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Your use of a third-party service may require you to accept its terms separately.
Any links to BFC Publications platforms must not be presented in a manner that is misleading, defamatory, unlawful or suggestive of an affiliation or endorsement that has not been authorised.
We reserve the right to request the removal of links to our platforms where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, reputation or users.
Our collection, use, storage and processing of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Our websites and digital platforms may use cookies and similar technologies to support functionality, remember preferences, improve performance, analyse usage and provide other relevant features. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our platforms and services are provided on an “as available” basis, subject to the express commitments contained in the relevant service agreement or package.

We do not guarantee specific commercial outcomes from publishing, distribution, book sales, promotional services, podcast participation or other services unless expressly agreed in writing.
Information, estimates, tools and third-party data displayed through our platforms may be subject to limitations, delays or inaccuracies. You should review the applicable service terms and verify information where necessary before relying on it.
Nothing in this section excludes any express warranty, statutory right or legal protection that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BFC Publications shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of profits, anticipated revenue, business opportunities, goodwill or data, arising from the use of our platforms or services, where such exclusion is legally permissible.
Subject to applicable law and the express terms of any relevant agreement, BFC Publications shall not be responsible for losses arising from third-party platform outages, marketplace decisions, courier delays, payment-provider failures or other events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Any limitation of liability under this section is subject to the rights and remedies available under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold BFC Publications and its officers, employees and authorised representatives harmless against third-party claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable expenses arising directly from your unlawful conduct, material breach of these Terms and Conditions or infringement of third-party rights through content or materials you supplied.
This provision shall not apply to the extent that a claim or loss results from BFC Publications’ own breach, negligence or other conduct for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may suspend or restrict access to our platforms or services where reasonably necessary to address security risks, suspected fraud, unlawful activity, material breaches of these Terms and Conditions or other legitimate operational concerns.
Where appropriate and legally permissible, we may notify you of the reason for the suspension and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Termination of an account or access to a platform does not automatically cancel any separate agreement or determine any outstanding payment, refund, royalty or other contractual entitlement. Such matters shall be handled in accordance with the relevant agreement and applicable law.
BFC Publications shall not be held responsible for delays or failures in performing its obligations to the extent directly caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, epidemics, governmental restrictions, war, civil disturbances, strikes, major infrastructure failures, widespread internet or power outages, or disruptions affecting essential third-party services.
We shall take reasonable steps to mitigate the effects of such circumstances and, where appropriate, communicate material delays or changes to affected customers.
This provision does not remove any refund or other obligation that may apply under the relevant agreement or applicable law.
We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, operations, legal requirements or business practices.
The updated version will be published on the relevant BFC Publications platform.
Changes shall apply from the date specified in the updated terms or, where no date is specified, from the date of publication, subject to applicable law. Changes will not retrospectively override existing contractual rights or obligations where doing so is not legally permissible.
Your continued use of the relevant platforms or services after the updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those terms to the extent permitted by law. Where affirmative consent is legally required, we will seek it accordingly.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India.
Subject to applicable law and any mandatory dispute-resolution or consumer-protection provisions, the courts of competent jurisdiction in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in this section limits any right you may have to approach a consumer commission or another forum where applicable law permits or requires it.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in effect to the extent legally permissible.
These Terms and Conditions, together with the applicable Privacy Policy, service-specific terms, package descriptions, order conditions and written agreements, constitute the terms governing your use of the relevant BFC Publications platforms and services.
Where a separate written agreement expressly addresses a particular matter differently from these Terms and Conditions, the provisions of that agreement shall prevail for that matter, subject to applicable law.
